The ‘Friends’ received a request from Matron earlier in 2018 to fund a tidy up of the hospital gardens, and to bring more colour to the beds by planting flowers. The garden is a great space for patients, visitors and staff and it was not reaching its full potential. Andy from Roots and Shoots was consulted, and work started a few months ago. There are a few photos of the work so far but keep an eye on things as it is planned to have a memorial garden and a sensory area for dementia patients.

Raised Flower Beds

In addition, Kate, an outpatient, offered to bring the raised beds back to life for all to enjoy.
Well done Kate and many thanks!
